Native of New York and of Colombian origin, Daniel Moreno is a guitarist, lutenist, and teacher. He understands music as a tool to elevate and influence others positively, performing and playing in churches, libraries, schools, community centers, homes, and concert halls. His performances have taken him throughout North America and Europe, and he is the recipient of the Fellowship Award of the Lanciano International Guitar Festival 2024. Among his most recent concerts include a performance as a faculty member for the The New York Guitar Seminar at The Americas Society, The Young Musicians Forum Concert Series in New York, the Trenton Arts Concert Series at Princeton University, and international guitar festivals and concert series such as Corde di la Primavera and Musico Paideia in Rome, Italy. He has performed in prestigious venues such as Opera America, the Morgan Library, New York City Ethical Society, and First Fridays at the Frick Collection. A graduate of Adelphi University and the Mannes College of

Music at The New School of New York, he studied guitar with William Zito and Stephan Leonard; composition and guitar with Frederic Hand and Michael Newman. He has participated in masterclasses with world-renowned guitarists such as Leo Brouwer, Sharon Isbin, Rene Izquierdo and Lucas .

Daniel teaches guitar, ensemble, and music theory at the Vienna Music School of and D’Al Maestro School in New York. In his continued effort to bring music and education to underserved communities, Daniel has collaborated with the non-profit organization El Círculo de la Hispanidad, where he directs a guitar ensemble and teaches group lessons for beginners and adults.
